In the mood for ribs and want to experiment a little.... Try these Instant Pot Country Style Ribs. These caramelized ribs are full of flavor, deliciously tender and will knock your socks off. Bonus, they are ready in an hour!
1/2 - 1 C BBQ Sauce (we used Sweet Baby Rays BBQ Sauce)
Directions
Make Marinade for Ribs: Add 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, and 2 T. regular soy sauce in Instant Pot. Add in ½ cup apple cider vinegar and ¾ cup cold water, and mix thoroughly.
Marinate the Ribs: Place country style ribs into the apple cider vinegar marinade. Add ¼ tsp coarse kosher salt, ground black pepper, and 2 T. brown sugar or honey on top of the country style ribs. Marinate ribs for 30 minutes - 1 hour in the fridge.
Pressure Cook the Ribs: Close Instant Pot lid, and turn Venting Knob to Sealing position. Pressure Cook at High Pressure for 15 minutes + 10 minutes Natural Release. After natural releasing for 10 minutes, carefully turn the Venting Knob to Venting Position to release the remaining pressure. Open the lid carefully.
Remove ribs and place on an oven tray. Generously apply ½ cup - 1 cup BBQ sauce to the ribs.
Place ribs in the oven and Broil for a few minutes until the BBQ sauce has caramelized. Take out and enjoy!
Recipe Note
The apple cider vinegar helps tenderize the ribs. Do not marinate them for too long, or the ribs can become mushy.
